5.70 mi on windsor tourist. [Cycling] less windy and colder

I wanted a rest today, but that wasn't going to happen. I needed to set myself up for a long four day. Filled with college and work. So I went off to get some rent money and some food.
It was a short ride the wind was still there I hope it goes away soon. The ride was uneventful for the most part. The usual taking the lane on Scottsdale road and all which comes with it. I was able to get off the road sooner coming home. I went through the park watched some skateboarders at the park. Then hit the grocery store.
I found some specials and I made sure not to buy to much. I had hang my bread on my handle bars so I was a little over loaded, but 3 dollars for two gallons of milk is a score.
Tomorrow will be another cold ride I can feel it.

The day was pretty bad I was really exhausted from the 12 miles into the wind. I had another horrible commute ahead of me. I headed out in the dark at times the 40 mph wind would push me back as I was going no where. After about 15 mins longer than normal I made it. It was again uneventful. I had to put my winter gloves on and it was freezing. The ride home just after sunset revealed all the down twigs. No commuters on this day.
I was happy to be home after working all night.

I was about a hundred miles away when I realized my class started today. I would be late by two hours. I hoped on the light rail and continued on bike from there. It was a great b-day I had which I celebrated with a friend. The ride was still windy getting to Central Phoenix. I was a little late since I had to work the previous night. We got to see the Navajo beauty pageant which was really neat. They slaughter lambs wow. We did some more learning and left for some dinner which were I found out I had class.
The light rail was not crowded but semi full. We moved at 17mph and hour. Yes I count it. It must do better than me or like the bus it is not worth it. I then sprinted down to the college.
A pretty intense ride all in all.

The wind was there but not to bad just annoying on my way to college. I failed my Math class but still will attend it. I then went to take in some comedy so I could laugh it off. I got to park my bike in the green room which I was really happy as the lack of parking was a problem. It was great. I took a longer ride back home and some how managed my 32miles I am good like that. Somehow I just go this way and that way and it turns out to be 32 miles which is what I wanted.
I have not been doing my old rides and most likely won't be doing them any longer.
I need to rest them bones and besides I have way to many miles already.

23.00 mi on windsor tourist. [Cycling] Lots of cyclists out and about. Most riding in the street. Even saw two cyclist on Central. Left turns on Central are horrible with the timing of the light.

So I filled out my paperwork and will have a different and much smaller route to my job site on Thursday. Nice and hot 88 degrees. I wore dockers and long sleeved shirt. The transit police were on call at a station not sure why. Because I rode my bike I didn't have to pay for parking, nor did I have to pay for gas. The entire trip was almost free I decided to buy a 99 cent pop. Were an old man was ranting to a young man who bought ciggs and then complained at the price. I chimed in "Fight the system".
Traffic was great they are installing sidewalks ADA access along oak and 32nd street they had cones to divert traffic which allowed me to take the lane through the intersection. A police man was on seen for the construction crew. I saw some kids writing on the sidewalk and something took a nasty poop on the pedestrian bridge.
I only had one JAM revving his engine at me while at a red light of an intersection. Even though I signaled the sensor for the light, so he only had to wait a few seconds. However left turning from cross traffic clogged my lane and I happily sat there and waited for that to clear.
Lots of waving and interaction with cyclist and pedestrains.
At 64th street I pushed the button to walk and I helped a cyclist get across with a green. A black older lady was crossing the street not in a crosswalk and I stated "No need to run." She smiled and we both wished each other a happy day. One other point at a school zone I allowed a pedestrian to cross with a child.

So I had to go to the store twice I must really like biking to have forgot my cash or in my case plastic. It was a great night for cycling. Of course this was the third time I saw the store, but who is counting? I needed to or wanted to get to the store quicker so I used the more direct route the first time on the second trip. The first trip I used the less popular auto route.
This consists of a traffic light turning left at Oak street, and then another traffic light turn right at McDowell then I go down a hill to another right at the complex. This is a faster route as I can really hammer the pedals, once at the first stop light I can get there in a matter three minutes.

There is something to be proud of even if you don't drink alcohol.
Happy St. Patrick's day.
1. St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, although he was born in Britain, around 385AD. His parents Calpurnius and Conchessa were Roman citizens living in either Scotland or Wales, according to different versions of his story.
